Forgot Password? Reset Your Raj SSO Login Online
If you know your username but your password keeps failing, don’t waste time guessing and risking an account lock. Change it right now using a quick OTP. No help desk required, and no app to download.
How to reset your password and open your account
Forget downloading a separate app; everything happens right on the official Rajasthan government web portal. Here is how to get back into your account online.
-
Open the login screen
Go to the official
wwwaddress (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/signin). -
Find the reset link
Don’t try to log in yet. Look just below the login box and click the “Forgot Password” link.
-
Prove it’s you
Enter your exact SSO ID (your Digital Identity). Then, choose how you want to get your OTP—via the mobile number you used for registration, your email address, or your Aadhaar number.
-
Create a new password
Enter the OTP, type a strong new password, and hit submit. You can now sign in immediately.
Everything else you might need
Are you sure it’s the password?
Often, people think they forgot their password, but they actually have the wrong username. Mixing them up just wastes a step.
You are in the right place
If the portal shows this exact error, you have the right username but the wrong password. Use the steps above to reset it immediately.
You have the wrong username
Do not try to reset your password. Instead, you need to find your actual username by sending an SMS (RJ SSO) to the system. Once you get your correct ID back, try to log in again.
When the reset OTP doesn’t show up
You requested a reset, but your phone is completely silent. Check these three things before assuming the govt portal is down.
1. Is it the correct phone?
The OTP only goes to the exact mobile number you used during your initial SSO registration. If you bought a new SIM or used a relative’s phone to sign up, that is where the text is going.
2. Network DND blocks
Sometimes, active Do Not Disturb (DND) settings on your mobile carrier block short-code automated messages from coming through.
3. Typo in the username
If you mistyped your SSO ID by even one letter on the recovery screen, the system might be trying to send an OTP to someone else entirely.
The Hard Way: Resetting without your registered mobile
If the phone number tied to your account is dead, lost, or reassigned, the online OTP method will not work. You cannot bypass this online, but you have two official options to get back in.
The Biometric Route
Visit your nearest local eMitra kiosk. They can verify your identity using biometric thumbprints (Jan Aadhaar) and update your profile to a new mobile number on the spot.
The Support Route
Contact the official customer care help desk. Call the helpline number (0141-2925554) or email helpdesk.sso@rajasthan.gov.in. Be prepared to provide your original reg details to prove ownership.
Does it matter how you registered?
The reset process looks identical for everyone, but the backend verification changes based on whether you are a regular citizen, a business, or a government employee.
Citizens & Businesses
Use Jan Aadhaar, Bhamashah, or BRN to receive the OTP. Once reset, you can continue applying for rpsc, rssb, or rsmssb recruitment exams without losing your history.
State Employees
Government staff use their SIPF details to verify their identity. Once the password is changed, you will immediately regain access to Shala Darpan and your employee dashboard.
